Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Marine Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. Projects range from 2M to 15M and are generally located on east coast of Florida from Daytona Beach to Florida Keys. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of marine construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members, while maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on construction site to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and manage crews, material suppliers', and subcontractors throughout the construction process.
- Review blueprints and project plans to determine project requirements and timelines.
- Implement safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Utilize construction management software for project tracking and reporting.
- Monitor project schedules, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project, including clients, engineers, and architects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Marine Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the marine construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction management.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and techniques in marine construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- OSHA certification is preferred; commitment to maintaining safety standards is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
