Human Resources Generalist
POSITION REPORTS TO : Human Resources Director
POSITION LOCATION : POSEIDON BARGE IN BERNE, INDIANA.
THIS POSITION SUPPORTS ALL COMPANY BRANDS UNDER MES. MES CURRENTLY HAS THREE BRANDS, POSEIDON BARGE, RASMUSSEN MARINE, AND PORTADAM.
SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES : None
STATUS : Full-time; FLSA Exempt
POSITION OBJECTIVE : Responsible for implementing various Human Resources Programs including hiring, benefits, performance evaluations, attendance, and more.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Administer compensation and benefit plans
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
- Undertake tasks around performance management and employee performance reviews
- Maintain employee files and records
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
- Ensure compliance with employment law
