General Laborer

Poseidon Marine is looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined General Laborer to join our team in Ruskin, FL. This role is pivotal in supporting our marine-related production and maintenance tasks, requiring individuals with a solid mechanical background and a keen interest in marine systems. Duties

• Assist in the assembly and maintenance of marine components, ensuring all work meets our high-quality standards.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and marine-specific equipment to fabricate, repair, or modify parts as required.
• Operate machinery such as forklifts, adhering to safety protocols for material handling within the facility or at service sites.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe, contributing to an environment that minimizes accidents and maximizes efficiency.
• Follow detailed safety procedures, especially when working with marine mechanical systems, to prevent injuries or damage.
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve production targets, meet deadlines, and uphold quality control standards.
• Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment, reporting any issues or necessary repairs to the supervisor promptly.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on marine technologies, tools, and operational methods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or marine-related environment is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated mechanical experience, with a preference for those with marine mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and an understanding of machinery operations in a marine context.
• Physical strength and endurance to handle lifting, bending, and working in various conditions, including on boats or at docks.
• Acute attention to detail, focusing on precision in assembly and maintenance tasks.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team or independently as needed.
• A proactive attitude towards learning, with the eagerness to expand knowledge in marine mechanics and production processes.
