TITLE:Teacher
PurposeStatement
Theposition of Teacher has been established for the purposes of providinginstruction and supervision to students and to help them learn subject matterthat will contribute to their development.

EssentialFunctions
§ Demonstrate support forthe mission, beliefs, and goals of the Posen Robbins School District 143 ½.
§ Uphold the establishedBoard of Education policies, regulations and administrative procedures.
§ Plan and implementinstruction using methods and materials which are most appropriate for meetingdistrict goals and objectives.
§ Evaluate students on aregular basis and provide reports and records as required.
§ Create a classroom andschool environment that is conducive to learning.
o Assistthe administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing studentlife and conduct.
o Developreasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures.
o Maintainorder in the classroom in a fair and just manner for the safety and well beingof the students.
§ Communicate withcolleagues, students, parents, and the community as needed to meet professionalstandards.
§ Maintain and improveprofessional competence.
§ Attend meetings, serveon committees, and perform other duties and assume other responsibilities asmay be assigned by the principal or designee in accordance with the contractand Board of Education.
