Our team of college dropouts, event fanatics, and software veterans are building the events ecosystem of the future, empowering anyone to find or create incredible social experiences.

In just four years, POSH has grown to a team of 50 , expanded our user base to 3M , secured $31M in venture funding, and facilitated over $100M in transactions.

About the Role

Culture is everything at POSH. As the Head of People, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and nurture a culture that promotes thoughtfulness, creativity, and innovative velocity.

In this role, your focus will be simple: maximize talent density. You’ll achieve this through a two-pronged approach: recruiting top 1% talent while optimizing the organizational efficiency of our existing team. You will bring together the best people in the world, balancing innovation and kindness to achieve our mission of helping everyone find their tribe through IRL social experiences.

What You’ll Learn & Achieve

• Establish creative recruitment strategies and talent-facing community programs to build a world-class team across the entire company.
• Manage the Talent Lead and outsourced recruiting resources to drive an efficient and effective hiring process for all new roles.
• Implement standardized recruitment policies, SOPs, and candidate scoring ideologies for every function.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish and iterate on a headcount strategy that maximizes talent density in line with company goals.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish career ladders and the requirements for each level of team members.
• Implement and iterate on performance management systems to drive high-performing teams.
• Develop and implement compelling compensation and benefits packages, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Ensure that new and existing employees uphold cultural pillars essential to our mission.
• Establish and implement internal team-building activities, off-sites, and programs that drive culture.
• Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage cultural, communication, and alignment challenges of a fast-growing organization.
• Manage and optimize daily people operations: Onboarding/Offboarding, Payroll, Insurance, PTO, etc.

Who You Are

• You believe in the importance of real-world human connection and are passionate about our mission to help the world connect more meaningfully in real life.
• You have 7 years of experience in high-impact Talent Acquisition and/or People Operations roles at mission-driven technology companies.
• You hold a strong viewpoint on what makes a high-performing company culture. Target companies we’ve sculpted our culture to resemble include Airbnb, Netflix, DoorDash, Uber, Coinbase, Toast, Square, Ramp, and Rippling.
• You have developed and implemented frameworks and systems to maximize employee performance and development. You are inspired to help people achieve the most meaningful work of their careers.
• You have a strong track record of results and impact, in or outside of the people function. You have experience deploying company-wide initiatives that move the needle in a meaningful way.
• You can effectively drive decision-making at all levels across the organization as a critical resource for senior leaders.
• You have an intense interest and understanding of organizational psychology, firm in key principles that have proven essential to your cultivation of world-changing teams.
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
• You are a strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication skills.
• You have EQ and have an easy time connecting with people.

Compensation

• Salary - $170,000-$200,000
