POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Network Technician intern will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining networking (UniFi) systems for various job sites within the New York area. The intern will collaborate with the IT team and project teams to ensure networking solutions are working efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Location Various Job Sites within the New York Area (with occasional office visits)
Compensation $18 - $22/hr

POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Network Technician intern will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining networking (UniFi) systems for various job sites within the New York area. The intern will collaborate with the IT team and project teams to ensure networking solutions are working efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, configure, and maintain UniFi routers, switches, access points, and controllers.
- Monitor equipment performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to UniFi systems, including wireless interference, connectivity problems, and device setup.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including UniFi system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and installation reports.
- Collaborate with the project team and other technicians to deliver successful networking solutions.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Strong interest in networking technology and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites within the New York area.
- Prior experience in a technical or field service role is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry networking equipment.
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including office spaces, outdoor locations, and commercial properties.
