What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Home Manager position at Positive Alternatives?
Group Home Managers are leaders of a care-team responsible for maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for adolescent residents that is conducive to their well-being. Group Home Managers assess group dynamics and resident needs to screen and place clients, and assist in program development. Group Home Managers supervise a team of staff and oversee daily programming to provide an environment that promotes improved social, developmental, educational, and physical functioning of group home residents. The Group Home Manager ensures the program operates within state licensing requirements and in accordance with the group home program guidelines, under the direction of the Group Home Program Director.
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for from you:
- Previous experience working with a youth population in a residential setting
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, or criminal justice fields
- Supervisory experience
- At least 21 years of age
- Hold a valid driver’s license
Some of your responsibilities as a Group Home Manager include:
- Oversight of direct care team
- Oversight of day-to-day program operations
- Ensure programming adheres to state licensing requirements
- Serve as a contact for referral sources
- Review and approve timecards as part of biweekly payroll process
- Performance management of direct reports
- Interviewing and new hire orientation and training
- Additional duties as assigned

Your schedule will include:
- Eight-hour shifts scheduled five days per week, typically Monday - Friday.
- Work hours may be required outside of the normal schedule to adjust to resident and staff scheduling needs.
Salary : $24 - $24
