Family Preservation Worker

Summary: The FPS staff visits families that have been assigned by the state to coordinate with their case manager to meet goals for preservation or reunification of families.

Essential Duties:

• Familiarize self with State of Idaho’s case against the family
• Familiarize self with expectations of the Case Worker
• Coordinate treatment with the Case Worker
• Help the family to comply with the Case Worker’s expectations
• Travel to and from the family’s home or other agreed upon locations within Region 5
• Meet with families according to the prescribed schedule
• Provide education for caregivers and other stakeholders in the family
• Observe the caregiver’s day to day interactions with the children of concern
• Report all observations to the Case Worker at minimum of weekly
• Produce monthly summaries
• Complete an assessment and plan
• Complete all notes daily
• Complete a Closure of Services survey

Qualifications Required:

May be completed upon hire

• CPR/First Aid certification
• Successfully pass the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare background check

Pay: Pay depends on experience

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree

Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.

Work Environments: Indoor office setting. Optionally, walking or sitting outside with clients. In the car, in Member’s home, in businesses and agencies in the community, and in public settings. One on one, family, or group in person or via telehealth services.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
