Positive Growth, Inc. is community based program that provides outpatient mental health services. We provide mental health services to children, youth, adults, and families. We also have a Multicultural Services component that provides multilingual and culturally sensitive services to clients that are new to the United States. Those positions provide culturally sensitive mental health services to immigrants and refugee children, youth, adults, and families. Speaking another language is a plus. All positions require both in-person and virtual sessions.
Our positions open include:
Mental Health Therapist provides individual, family, and group counseling for children, adolescents and adults with mental health/substance abuse diagnoses. Full Time (20-25) and part-time (12-15) caseloads available. Outreach therapy is expected. Must be flexible to work days and evenings. This position requires a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Chemical Dependency or Counseling and candidates should have LAPC, LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT or PsyD status in the state of Georgia. Experience working with multicultural children/ adolescents and adults with mental health disabilities is strongly preferred.
Mental Health Assessor (MHA) conducts thorough biopsychosocial assessments for children, adolescents, and adults to determine the level of treatment required. Bilingual speaking assessors are a plus, but we have interpreters on staff. The MHA identifies treatment needs and recommends treatment plans through the development of treatment goals based on information obtained during the assessment.
Community Support Professionals/Case Managers (PP): This is a contract position, which involves working with children, youth and adults providing skill building as well as coordination and linkage to outside supports such as the school, medical, and psychiatric supports, etc. Note: When working with children, you are expected to be able to see children in the late afternoon daily and sometimes into the early evening; beyond that you set your own schedule. In addition, the Community Support Professionals/Case Managers must be willing to meet with other caregivers of the child (i.e teacher, school counselors, etc.). Completion of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, counseling, criminal justice, or possessing a master’s degree is preferred but not required. This position includes both virtual and in-person contact.
Clubhouse Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of an IEC Clubhouse
- Provides direct services through empowerment with individuals, groups, and family members
- Responsible for assuring high-quality program services and support to enrolled children, youth, and their families
- Provide sufficient levels of communication with students, staff, program director, school partners, and families.
- Recruit participants to meet average daily attendance requirements.
- Supervise the notification and registration of the children and youth selected to participate.
- Supervise and manage staff, volunteers, and students in the program.
- Provide high-quality supervision and coaching for all project staff and partners.
- Supervise students during enrichment, recreational and academic tutoring lessons.
- Prepare and assist staff in preparing lesson plans for academic and enrichment activities
- Lead and facilitate ongoing planning and program refinement to achieve academic and social outcomes and continuously improve project activities.
- Ensure student and program evaluation activities are consistently implemented.
- Participates & facilitates outreach efforts, presentations, and parent meetings
- Maintains required documentation and individual files in compliance with DBHDD documentation regulations
- Ensure program design is implemented consistently and effectively
- Maintains an updated inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies
- Under the directors, identify and train volunteers, parent liaisons, and community partners to implement academic, recreation, enrichment activities, and grant guidelines.
- Establish and maintain beneficial partnerships with community-based organizations, public agencies, local universities, and city agencies.
- Responsible for Clubhouse staff relations and supervision in accordance with agency policies and procedures
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with middle and high school and school district partners
- Ensure the maintenance of the IEC clubhouse
- Manage transportation for IEC Clubhouse, ensuring students are transported to and from the clubhouse and/or home. Vans/buses are maintained to include fuel.
- Participates in the development of Clubhouse policies and procedures
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy standards in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations and laws, including HIPAA
- Set goals and measurements for the IEC Clubhouse and evaluate and report progress quarterly
- Work with the program director to collect data necessary for evaluation and reporting on time
- Provide expected weekly billable life skills/social skills groups and individual sessions w/ BIRP note documentation in accordance with the Full-time Clubhouse Manager Productivity expectations
- Provide program orientation, encourage involvement, and maintain contact with families and the school. Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and performance.
- Provide ongoing family involvement activities, services, and special events under the director's direction.
- Participates in the agency/department annual planning, evaluation process, and grant writing
- Ensures that the program is adhering to fiscal and administrative timelines for regular ongoing activities,
