What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Child Care Worker (Direct Care) position at Positive Growth Residential?
This position is responsible for providing direct care, supervision, setting boundaries, demonstrating patience, and creating a safe environment for youth in care. The incumbent will need to have an understanding of basic adolescent development and psychology (particularly at-risk youth and high risk youth)
Responsible for implementing residential program and standards developed by the agency with youth in care to meet the individual needs and goals of youth in the areas of safety, well-being, and permanency. The Residential Child Care Worker assist youth with their daily living activities in accordance with Positive Growth Inc. and State of Georgia licensing requirements.
Candidate must be at least 21 years of age, possess either a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED). Two years experience.
Shifts for this position are from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; 3:00 p.m.-11:00p.m; and 11:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m. One weekend a month is mandatory. (Availability of shifts will be based on need at the time you apply. Incumbents must be willing to work at more than one location if needed but on the same campus..
