Resource Development Specialist:
Positive Impacts is a recruiting and professional staffing agency that provides staffing services to social service and behavioral health agencies. Currently there is an opening for a Resource Development Specialist. This position will perform services to ensure that foster/relatives/kinship parents are trained, licensed and re-licensed within a specified time frame. Finds alternative care placements for children case managed by CPP with a primary focus on permanency and safety for the child.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in social services area such as social work/human services, psychology, sociology, psychiatric nursing, education, counseling, marriage and family therapy, and child development, criminal justice, juvenile justice, or human services related fields (e.g. child welfare, mental health, substance abuse, and development disabilities). On or more years of professional experience in the delivery of protective children's services (investigation of abuse or neglect of children, child foster care, adoptions, family centered services, and intensive in-home services ) in a public or private agency.
Knowledge and skills for this position include the ability to determine if prospective foster parents can perform the tasks necessary to be a foster parent, plan for the future needs of the FC/A program, effectively present information in one-on-one, small and large group situations, be able to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variable in standardized situations. The ideal candidate will work at Family Forward city office.
