We are the one stop shopping source for over 62 annual events, educational and recognition programs. Positive Promotion both manufactures and distributes world class promotional products and sells both retail and wholesale to other nationwide distributors.
Job Function:
The warehouse crew lead is responsible for assisting the supervisor/manager with daily shift responsibilities as well as shift startups. This includes opening and closing of the building and receiving gate when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist supervisor with machine operator road test during the interview process for all potential candidates.
- Work with all new hire machine operators to make sure they are getting the proper training and developing the necessary skills to perform the job within all areas of the warehouse. Safety training must be the number one priority with all personnel. Following procedures are a critical part of the job. Especially with regard to inventory integrity.
- Make sure all safety and housekeeping duties are completed during each shift.
- Assist the supervisor in assigning daily machine operator responsibilities. This includes setting up the white board with appropriate personnel in each area.
- Communicates with warehouse supervisor and data supervisor any necessary changes in machine operator assignments.
- Work closely with shift supervisor to ensure that there is enough coverage to complete all work in the following key areas: returns, 99 put away, kanban picks, consolidations, cycle counts, sample pick, replenishments as well as various other assignments as needed.
- Setup of outbound trucks going to our third-party warehouse.
- Ensure that all order selectors are maintained, and batteries watered each week.
- Assist with various reports such as the consolidation report to make sure there is appropriate warehouse space to accept various size pallets into the warehouse. This will include making sure the inventory on the 99 report is put away withing an 8-hour period and all missing inventory is investigated.
- Communicate with dock crew regarding all inbound and outbound movement of material and any issues related to receiving.
- Make sure that all written BOLs for outbound inventory are written accurately and handed to the appropriate dock personnel to review as trucks are loaded.
- Able to work overtime as needed (particularly during scheduled busy seasons including Saturdays)
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extremely dependable and reliable.
- Knowledge of AS400 a plus
- Ability to multitask.
- Machine operator certification for order selector, forklift, and turret truck.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English).
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to navigate warehouse
2ND SHIFT: 3pm-11:30Pm (Must be flexible to work OT) ***MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING NIGHT SHIFTS*****
