Positive Recovery currently has 19 locations statewide. We are presently seeking enthusiastic, compassionate Recovery Advocates for our state licensed and Joint Commission certified Sober Living program in Houston, TX.
Position Description:
The Recovery Advocate is a member of the multidisciplinary team who is directly involved in providing quality care to our clients. This critical role is key not only to the operational flow of the facility but to making a difference in the lives of our clients. The RA is responsible for providing structure for our clients during programming, after hours, and during weekend activities.
Essential Functions:
· Documents client and group dynamic observations in medical records and communicates client issues and concerns to the nursing, clinical, and administrative staff.
· Serves as a role model to the clients, demonstrating an understanding of the fundamentals of a balanced recovery program.
· Coordinates client care and ensures that clients are in groups and aware of and in line with facility expectations.
· Coordinates admissions and orientations with the nursing staff to ensure the safety of the client and the client environment.
· Assists in emergency situations as directed.
· Understands and maintains confidentiality of patient information and records.
· Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience.
· Escorts clients for meals, off-site appointments, or other related client activities.
· Facilitates or co-facilitates CD Educational groups.
· Monitors and documents client self-administration of medication.
· Attends monthly meetings and scheduled training.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Able to work at both locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Valid Texas Driver License
· Experience with a 12-step program preferred.
· Proficient using general computer skills

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
