What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Service Technician position at POSitive Technologies, Inc?
POSitive Technologies is a Point-of-Sale Installation and Support company. Some of our current clients include Laughing Planet Café, Burgerville USA, and a host of other independent restaurants in/around NW Oregon and Washington. We are looking to hire another IT person to configure, install, train, and support systems in restaurant and bar environments. We pride ourselves on being the local support company with a “white glove” approach. We are a PAR Technologies, Tabit, and LingaROS dealer/reseller.
We are looking for an individual to work as a team member in our service department. Your role will primarily focus on configuring the POS software and menu databases for new and existing customers. However, the due to the on-call rotation, this job will also consist of hardware setup/install, on-site repair, customer training, and system support. When engaging with our customers, you will act in a systems support and consultation role. Most work will occur within the Pacific Northwest (mainly Portland and the surrounding area), with a few out-of-state exceptions as projects arise. As a support and installation person, you must be able to drive to the customer's locations and have reliable transportation. The position is full-time and on-site at our office in Milwaukie. While it is primarily a Monday thru Friday work week(8:30AM – 5:00PM), schedule flexibility is required on occasion(late nights/early mornings). Participation in an on-call shift rotation is also required.
The right candidate for this position is well-spoken, outgoing, creative, and organized. While we consider this an entry-level position, experience with Microsoft Office products, Windows computers, networking, and smart devices is required.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
