Job Description: Post Brothers, a world-class, vertically-integrated multifamily real estate developer, is seeking an Acquisitions Intern to support the Acquisitions team with the acquisition, disposition, and financing processes. The Acquisitions Analyst will work closely with upper management and will interface with other teams within Post Brothers and external parties as needed. This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity in which routine tasks will range from financial analysis to the creation of investment memoranda and market research. Candidates should enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, highly collaborative, and fast-paced environment. This role will be based in the company’s corporate office in Philadelphia and will require in-person attendance five days per week.
Reports To: VP of Acquisitions
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting the team’s due diligence activities for new acquisitions and related financings
- Financial modeling and ad hoc financial analysis
- Obtain, organize, and maintain due diligence files
- Create investment memos
- Take photos on property tours
- Market research
- Write comprehensive market research papers to support Post’s investment thesis for a given property
- Demographic and market-specific research
- Comparable properties analysis
- Create and maintain ongoing market research files including mapping new opportunities and competitive properties
- Review and organize offering materials for potential acquisitions
- Support other teams within Post’s corporate office as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in-person in corporate office environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to organize and prioritize work independently
- Ability to perform in a busy, multi-tasking work environment
