Architectural Intern
Job Description : Provide support for all aspects of design and development projects.
Reports To : Senior Design Project Manager
Wage Status : Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
Required Skills : Job Responsibilities :
- Supports design team in development of project’s designs for various properties.
- Assists in the development of the projects design, through sketches, 3d models, and
- digital design files.
- Provide general project support including :
file and organize design and construction documents
log construction sketchescatalogue daily construction photos, etc.design and print signsperform punch listscalculate square footages and other takeoffs for material ordersorder drawing setsVisit job sites and occupied properties to perform site surveys and verify existingconditions.Attend and take notes at design development, construction, and job site meetings.Produce documentation in Revit and or AutoCAD including :plans for multi-family common spaces, commercial tenant fit-outs, and other
design-build projectspresentations to company leadership for approval and implementation intovarious projectssite surveysmodified drawings based on redline markupscombined drawings from outside professional consultants (architects andengineers)construction diagrams of varying detail to assist the project managerdiagrams for specialty biddingUtilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildingsand their components.Reviews shop drawings and submittals and works with senior team members on thefinal review and approval.Track action itemsFollow-up on tasks with the project managers in the fieldCreate 3D models to support the design team and aid to visualize material selectionsand layoutsCollage images to aid in various design proposals.Assists in building analysis, research of concepts, design presentations and buildingmaterial research.Assist in specialty bidding.Assists in managing materials library.Assists in project punch lists and closeout processes and helps create final reports.
