Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. JOB FUNCTION
The primary responsibility of the Pad Specilaist position is to provide warehouse, receiving support, line supply, loader and waste management services to the Campbell Mill. This position will support, implement, and maintain food safety practices as required through SQF. PST staff will be responsible for completing job duties in a manner that supports all plant safety, food safety, quality and environmental practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under general supervision safely operate fork lift vehicles and material handling related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Determine packaging, supplies, and minor ingredients needed, order, unload, stage and supply materials and ingredients for various process and packaging areas.
- Perform expanded list of audits, validation, and quality checks on shipping containers, COAs, raw ingredients, intermediate and finished products, and packaging materials. Document all quality checks properly.
- Perform periodical inventory counting, adjust inventories daily, and update & maintain cycle counts.
- Receive minor ingredients, chemicals, equipment, tools, and supplies in compliance with safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Assist in waste handling, pallet and dumpster washing, waste water removal, recyclable handling, and the disposition of non-compliance product or materials.
- Keep work area clean and orderly following the Master Cleaning Schedules, perform sanitation audits and develop action plans to correct problem areas.
- Perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
- Record production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiency, or other pertinent data as required.
- Plan ahead to maximize efficiency of team and equipment while supporting production schedules.
- Communicate pertinent information with the Team Lead, the Operations Supervisor, the other shift team members, and the other support groups up to date on important information, processes, issues and concerns
- Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in lean initiatives.
- Participate in special projects/assignments, training, and other activities of the team as required.
- Substitute for any Team Member during breaks/absence/vacation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of recent manufacturing, mechanical or food industry experience preferred
- Ability to understand and operate a wide range of food processing, packaging and distribution equipment
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- Candidates must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a high performance team environment.
- Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation
