Accounts Payable Specialist - Post Falls School District Office
This position is year-round employment, full time and benefitted position.
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our district accounting team. This position will enjoy 2-3 Fridays off per month during the school year per the district's schedule, with an average work day of 9:15 per day Monday-Thursday.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience with Medicaid billing & reimbursements preferred
Experience with accounts payable/receivable procedures and processes
Experience with office computer programs, procedures and equipment
Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for work to be performed
Must possess effective communication skills
JOB RELATED FUNCTIONS:
Directed activities shall include but are not limited to the following:
Process purchase orders, invoices and vouchers.
Utilize a variety of computer programs/equipment as required for the successful completion of the accounts payable and Medicaid billing processes.
Review and audit invoices and other payments to ensure accuracy in coding, appropriate approvals, adequate supporting documentation, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Review, verify, reconcile, and upload purchasing card transactions into the accounting system.
Print and distribute accounts payable checks.
Assist with maintaining appropriate accounting procedures and records.
Process and prepare federal and state 1099 tax forms.
Responds appropriately to both vendor and internal requests.
Reconcile vendor statements monthly- researching missing invoices, invoicing errors and disputed charges.
Run ad hoc reports as requested
Validate all vendor changes and ensure W-9 compliance is maintained.
Assist with fingerprinting/submitting BIC forms for background checks, as needed.
Assist receptionist in answering phones and greeting DO guests as needed.
Prepare documents and copies as needed.
Maintain employee and district confidentiality.
Perform other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Salary: $18.53 - $25.10 hr / DOE
