Job Summary: Maintenance Lead responsible for leading maintenance work, ensuring safety, quality, and performance in a food processing plant.

Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance work, including emergency repair, reactive maintenance, and proactive maintenance activities.
- Support safety, quality, food safety, and performance KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with safety work rules and reinforce safety as a core value.
- Assist in completing root cause analysis process and observe and practice all department/plant procedures.
- Improve safety, reliability, and efficiency through work execution and timely response to production needs.
- Report accurate communications on incidents and/or work-related injuries.
- Motivate team members through energetic and positive engagement.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP) to order and lookup parts, write work orders, and charge time.
- Communicate results of work and follow-up to customers and plant leadership team.
- Participate in daily shift meetings and maintain a floor presence in assigned work area.
- Request gap closure capability of maintenance technicians and provide feedback to performance management evaluations.
- Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on shift using precision maintenance techniques.
- Plan and direct activities based on plant work priority standards to ensure equipment is maintained at precision levels.
- Support activities of a technical planner to repairs and look for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Assist in implementation of capital projects and plant productivity projects.
Qualifications:
- AA in Engineering, Operations, or applicable technical knowledge or degree/certification from trade school.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities, and/or related field.
- Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Experience in installation, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical equipment through troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose and repair of all mechanical power transmission equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, process pumps, control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration, lubrication devices, and basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting.
- Skilled or knowledge in welding, sanitary welding, pipe fitting, soldering, rigging application, and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Skilled or knowledge in machine shop to fabricate within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment.
- 480v 3 phase knowledge required.
- Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E is preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices a plus.
