Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mail Carrier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to designated locations. This role requires strong customer service skills, as well as the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, and transporting mail. The Mail Carrier will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their correspondence and packages promptly.
Duties
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses in a designated area.
- Operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks or vans safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles using equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from recipients.
- Ensure proper handling of mail to prevent damage during transport.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when handling large or bulky items.
- Follow all safety protocols while driving and delivering mail.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating box trucks, vans, or similar vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in warehouse settings is a plus, particularly with loading and unloading tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
