Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes in a timely manner.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations.
- Load and unload mail and packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from customers during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking and reporting any discrepancies.
- Assist in the organization of mail within the delivery vehicle for efficient routing.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery processes and improve service quality.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Proficient in driving various types of vehicles, including vans and commercial vehicles.
- Experience with moving and handling freight, including loading and unloading using pallet jacks or forklifts.
