POSITION SUMMARY: The Accreditation Coordinator (AC) position is an integral part of the accreditation staff at Post University. The AC is responsible for working closely with University leaders and stakeholders to organize, facilitate, and participate in activities involving institutional and programmatic accreditation and other agencies following established University and agency standards, policies, and procedures. The AC will assist students with licensure and credentialing and will assist with marketing reviews and policy updates. The AC works closely with other departments within the University and must exercise sound independent judgment, discretion, and sensitivity during the accreditation process and interactions with associates.
Post University currently offers the option to work remotely in this position. Candidates must plug their equipment into their home router (a 50-foot ethernet cable will be provided by Post). No wireless connections are supported. The home internet minimum requirements are a 25 Mb download speed, a 15 Mb upload speed, and a Ping rate less than 60. The upload speed is essential for a consistent audio connection for the phone system. (Please use the link provided to test your home network speed www.speedtest.net.) Applicants must provide their speed test results during the screening process. Individuals whose home network speed does not meet the minimum requirements are responsible for independently contacting their ISP to upgrade their service before moving forward.
Whenever working remotely, the candidate's home network must meet the minimum required speed and follow the hardware connection settings determined by their provisioned equipment and department role. Additionally, candidates must have a reliable Internet connection and a designated and private home office or alternative workspace free from noise or distractions.
Essential Activities
- Coordinate the receipt and distribution of accreditation correspondence and materials to and from regulatory agencies, including licenses, renewals, and applications.
- Coordinate and monitor the accreditation calendar and collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring all submission dates are met.
- Coordinate preparing, reviewing, and submitting materials related to continuing accreditation, substantive changes, and annual reporting. Assist with preparing state applications for licensure, renewal, and application.
- Develop a familiarity with the standards and requirements of the agencies that license or accredit the University and assist with research and outreach to ensure all actions comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding accreditation and licensure requirements.
- Assist with the University’s efforts by providing technical assistance regarding compliance, accreditation, and market research.
- Assist with researching and maintaining data regarding professional licensure credentials.
- Assist with informing students regarding the licensure process and program/state-specific licensure requirements as needed.
- Review published policies to ensure consistency between media (catalog, website, handbooks, etc.) and complete any necessary updates.
- Assist with updating the Acalog catalog platform when curriculum changes and policy updates occur.
- Assist, as requested, in creating and updating accreditation training materials, forms, and publications.
- Communicate regularly with the Vice President of Accreditation to discuss the status of projects, raise questions, and provide feedback on accreditation processes.
- Special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in higher education, preferably in accreditation or research capacity, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of the University.
- A high level of professional integrity.
- Ability to coordinate complex tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capacity to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Ability to build and sustain trust relationships with faculty and staff.
- Skill in conducting presentations and information sessions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Familiarity with technology such as, but not limited to, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
- Understanding technology applications for workflow management, particularly database operations, learning management systems, and online accreditation management systems.
- The skill of explaining complex situations clearly.
- Ability to research and understand state and organizational statutes, rules, and regulations.
