The Business Development Specialist optimizes sales operations through CRM management, data analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration. This role drives sales efficiency, enhances customer engagement, and supports business growth by delivering insightful reports, and leveraging HubSpot to streamline sales processes. This role is responsible for providing the sales and marketing team with strong administrative support.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Optimize and leverage HubSpot's automation tools to streamline outreach, follow-ups, and task management. Manage, prioritize, and track leads through the entire sales pipeline, ensuring smooth progression.
- Create, update, and monitor deals within HubSpot, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information. Manage and maintain CRM data integrity, ensuring proper segmentation and targeting leads.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and support for HubSpot users.
- Optimize and leverage HubSpot's automation tools to streamline outreach, follow-ups, and task management.
- Implement and manage drip campaigns, assigning leads strategically to Account Executives and the Sales Director.
- Proactively follow up on leads, verifying contact information and ensuring accurate data across multiple locations.
- Develop strong relationships with clients at all levels and deliver high levels of client care
- Build the strategy for how we win with a given industry or vertical.
- Provide weekly updates on overall activities, major deals advancing, opportunities, competitor information, market needs, etc. Track details regarding “wins and losses” across the sales portfolio to capture product gaps and best practices. Develop and maintain comprehensive sales reports and dashboards within HubSpot.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and Operations teams.
- Log all calls, emails, and meetings in HubSpot to maintain accurate communication records.
- Prepare ROI business cases, presentations, and coordination of terms of the sales and marketing team.
- Responsible for following up with leads by verifying volume and confirming the correct contact person for the sales leads.
- Responsible for finalizing the HubSpot Academy videos and certifications to assist the team in utilizing the platform more effectively.
- Provide weekly updates on overall activities, major deals advancing, opportunities, competitor information, market needs, etc. Track details regarding “wins and losses” across the sales portfolio to capture product gaps and best practices.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

- Print & Presort Mailing experience is a plus
- Knowledge of CRM (HubSpot is a plus)
- Organize and good record keeping
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- CRM experience
- 3 Years of experience in business development and B2B sales environment (Preferred)
- 3 years of experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish and having strong prioritization skills (Preferred)
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at workstation
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Willing to travel up to 40% of the time.
