Job Summary:

The Senior Infrastructure and Support Engineer brings a strong background in supporting a busy IT Help Desk, managing infrastructure across multiple office locations, and providing direct end-user support. This role requires a proactive individual with expertise in Microsoft Entra, M365 administration, ERP applications, hardware procurement, and DevOps support. The Senior Infrastructure and Support Engineer will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships, ensuring security and compliance, and participating in incident response and change management processes.

Note: This position is mainly onsite in Weston, FL, and requires availability for on-call and after-hours business support, as well as up to 25% travel.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Support:

  • Provide exceptional end-user support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Manage and support the IT Help Desk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents and service requests
  • Administer Microsoft Entra and M365 environments, including user management, security, and application support
  • Provide support for ERP applications
  • Manage hardware procurement, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of IT equipment
  • Provide support to software development teams (DevOps) to facilitate smooth development and deployment processes
  • Provide MAC end user support

Infrastructure:

  • Manage print/mail vendor relationships and ensure optimal performance
  • Oversee and manage the effectiveness of Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP)
  • Manage and maintain access control and CCTV solutions
  • Utilize SolarWinds Network Performance Monitoring and SolarWinds ORION for network monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Provide support for Cloud PBX systems

Security and Compliance:

  • Adhere to and enforce information security and compliance programs
  • Test and implement Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans
  • Act as a member of the Incident Management and Response Team
  • Participate in change management and risk assessments
  • Participate in IT vendor management
  • Participate in compliance audits and evidence gathering
  • Document IT infrastructure and processes

  • Network monitoring (SolarWinds)
  • Firewall management

  • LAN/WAN

Cloud Technologies:

  • Microsoft Entra and M365 administration
  • Cloud PBX support

Systems Administration:

  • Active Directory
  • Hardware procurement and management
  • ERP application support

Security:

  • Information security and compliance programs
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning
  • Incident management and response
  • Access control and CCTV solutions

Vendor Management:

  • MSP and MSSP vendor management
  • Print/mail vendor support
  • IT Vendor management

Monitoring Tools:

  • SolarWinds Network Performance Monitoring and SolarWinds ORION

DevOps Support:

  • Understanding of DevOps principles
  • Support for software development teams

Hardware:

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of computer hardware

Other:

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to be highly organized and to set priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communicator, verbal, and writing
  • Strong ability for professional documentation
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Sr Infrastructure and Support Engineer role, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 5 years implementing and managing large projects
  • At least 5 years directly supporting executives and directors
  • At least 5 years directly supporting system owners

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking or sitting at workstation
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, squat, reach, extend
  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
  • May be exposed to loud noise levels
  • Available for on-call and after-hours business support
