Job Overview
Family owned ship and print shop is seeking a skilled graphic designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to design specifications. This position requires a blend of technical skills and creative insight, making it perfect for individuals passionate about design and print production.
Duties
- Create artwork for print including but not limit to business cards, flyers, posters, and mailers.
- Review artwork submitted for orders and prep for print production.
- Able to receive and organize orders
- Operates the store's print center for both graphic design and production.
- Ensure that production deadlines are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality
- Maintain equipment and workspace to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Operate digital and wide format printers, ensuring quality and efficiency in production
- Run calibrations
- Monitor the print process and troubleshoot issues to maintain smooth production.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of print equipment.
- Assist with finishing tasks such as cutting, binding, laminating, and packaging.
- Assist with estimating orders.
- Maintain inventory of print supplies and materials
Must be willing to cross train and assist with our retail shipping department.
Qualifications
- Experience in a print shop or print environment
- Experience with Fiery is a plus.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong focus on graphic design applications.
- Two to three years of experience or a two-year degree in graphic design or a related field
- Able to work and complete tasks independently in a quick turn environment
- Able to lift 50 pounds
Job Type: Part-time, full time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
