Description:
Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing the Columbia VA Healthcare System with Phlebotomists. The locations included, South Carolina GOPC & CVAHCS. The Phlebotomist is expected to perform the following:
- Perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws.
- Perform sample processing and send out preparation.
- Positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting.
- Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues.
- Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers
- at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program
