JOB SCOPE:
The CCBHC Substance Use and Prevention (SUP) Supervisor will oversee the provision of substance use services and the integration and coordination of substance use services both within the CCBHC and with external providers. This position requires prior clinical experience working with populations living with substance use disorders and dually diagnosed individuals and families. Prior supervisory experience and knowledge of the CASAC roles and Certified Recovery Peer Advocate roles is required to provide support and oversight to the team. The CCBHC Substance Use and Prevention Supervisor will be trained in evidence-based practices and assessment tools and be familiar with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). CCBHC SUP Supervisor is expected to oversee clinical and administrative operations, including developing effective strategies for case assignment, identifying gaps in service provision and following up appropriately, monitoring staff productivity, managing clinic data, providing crisis intervention as necessary and closely monitoring high risk cases and incidents. SUP supervisor ensures that services are provided timely and in compliance with OMH & OASAS regulations and best practices. Additionally, SUP Supervisor will also be responsible for developing community relationships with providers and referral resources to promote CCBHC SUD services.
CCBHC SUP Supervisor is responsible for participating in mobile crisis team, with rotating on-call coverage to respond to community-based crises outside of clinic operating hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide direct clinical services as defined in the CCBHC Substance Use Counselor job description to a small caseload of consumer, as needed;
- Provide clinical supervision to CCBHC SUD staff, including Substance Use Counselors and Certified Recovery Peer Advocates;
- Collaboratively oversee intake and admissions process;
- Review and oversee the timely and accurate completion of documentation and follow-up for services/treatment activities as it pertains to the provision of SUD services;
- Coordinate the successful integration of substance use, mental health services, and primary care.
- Monitor High Risk clients and Incident Reporting;
- Oversee staff performance and compliance with agency and OMH, OASAS, and CCBHC standards;
- Oversee the collection and analysis of SUD treatment data and outcomes.
- Serves as a liaison with external treatment providers and referrals sources to promote CCBHC services.
- Conduct outreach for clients in need of integrated services in the community and within the agency.
- Provide on-call after hours coverage for the Crisis Team
- Perform other duties, consistent with the goals and objectives of the program, as directed by clinic director;
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree and CASAC certification
- Experience working with individuals, families, and groups with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders
- Two years of supervisory experience in the substance use field.
- Must be outcome oriented in a fast paced environment with deadlines.
Salary : $85,000
