Qualifications
Minimum Education/Requirements: Position requires an Associate degree or a degree in a related field or trade. 5 years minimum experience in facilities management. Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, and building systems helpful. Strong organizational and management skills. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. Computer proficiency. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to provide direction to staff. Must provide a valid NY driver’s license upon hire and pass a motor vehicle history check demonstrating a safe driving history.

- Provide support and supervision to maintenance support staff in all Residential Facilities.
- Provide direct supervision to Building Superintendents and Handyman on repair projects, as needed.
- Conduct and document bi-annual building inspections, including safety checks of all equipment.
- Direct repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the Residential Division.
- Identify and recommend maintenance projects.
- Evaluate and Assess quotes from outside vendors for work, and oversee completion of work.
- Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or other assignments as directed by supervisor.
- Respond to emergency situations such as water pipe breaks, and report situation to proper personnel. Tend to emergency situation as best as possible until assistance arrives, then assist in repair as necessary.
- Fills in for Building Superintendent/Handyman due to vacancies or vacation and performs all duties of that position, including basic cleaning and garbage.
- Maintains a cordial, professional relationship with all facility staff and residents.
- Handles confidential information in accordance with Federal and New York State law and regulations.
- Adhere to personnel and residential policies and procedures as outlined in the PCMH Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual and the Residential Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Performs other duties, consistent with the goals and objectives of the programs, or as directed by a supervisor or agency Administration.

- F-07 Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor Certificate of Fitness
- Able to obtain Certificates of Fitness within 6 months of employment
- Undergo background clearances prior to employment including fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, the Staff Exclusion List (SEL), and K-checks Exclusion Management.
- Ability to maintain clearances throughout the duration of employment.
