ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
The Development Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of our new restaurant openings. This position provides essential administrative and operational support to the Development team, ensuring that all key processes, timelines, and deliverables are met. As an integral part of the team, you will contribute to the growth of our portfolio by coordinating across departments, vendors, and landlords, and ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST
- Set up and manage new utility accounts to ensure services are active for restaurant openings.
- Spearhead the Tenant Allowance process, including collecting payment applications, lease-required documents, and General Contractor lien waivers.
- Support the letter of intent and lease negotiation process from initial negotiations through execution, ensuring smooth handoff to the Accounting Department.
- Track critical dates such as Rent Commencement and Lease Renewals, notifying stakeholders of upcoming actions.
- Assist the Chief Development Officer with demographic and mapping needs, including managing third-party GIS data and reports.
- Help manage Development Plan budgets, reconciling monthly expenses and reclassifications.
- Procurement of owner provided furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) including budget tracking, timely approvals, and updates.
- Process vendor invoices, reconcile payment statements, and support project closeouts.
- Prepare and distribute Bid Packages to vendors and assist the Director of Construction during the bid process.
- Compile and distribute Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals to operations at project turnover.
- Act as a key point of contact with landlords to coordinate deliverables such as possession dates, plan submissions, and construction timelines.
- Facilitate the landlord review process of Tenant Plans by ensuring timely submissions, communication, and approvals.
- Coordinate with General Contractors, the design team, and local municipalities on permitting and mobilization needs.
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Development team, including sales weeks, new restaurant opening capital expenditures, facilities repairs and maintenance, facilities preventative maintenance, and existing restaurant capital expenditure metrics.
- Maintain the Development Department Dashboard, including updates to Smartsheet workspaces and tracking tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and accounting, to ensure alignment on budgets and processes.

Requirements
- 1-3 years restaurant or retail Development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or similar field
- Master of Science, Real Estate Development a plus
- Self-sufficient and highly self-motivated to hit timelines
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of projects at once
- Passion for the hospitality industry and facilities

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
