Quality Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance efforts at our aluminum extrusion manufacturing facility. The Quality Manager will oversee quality control processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in aluminum extrusion, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems for aluminum extrusion processes and finished products.
- Establish and document quality standards and specifications in line with industry regulations and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Compliance and Certification:
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant industry certifications and standards.
- Maintain records of compliance, inspections, and audits for internal and external review.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and certification bodies as required.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
- Promote and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize production quality.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Manage and mentor the quality team, including technicians and inspectors.
- Provide training on quality standards, tools, and techniques for production personnel.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Customer and Supplier Interaction:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements and address concerns.
- Manage supplier quality assurance programs to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
- Handle customer complaints and lead investigations to provide timely resolutions.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of quality management experience in aluminum extrusion or metal manufacturing.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of aluminum extrusion processes, metallurgy, and material properties.
- Proficiency in quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, and CAPA.
- Lean and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
