Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental hygiene procedures, including routine cleanings, scaling, and root planing to maintain optimal oral health.
- Take and develop dental x-rays to diagnose and monitor oral conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral health instructions.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed to ensure patient comfort.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using industry-standard practice management systems.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold a valid Dental Hygienist license in Missouri.
- Possess an Associates or Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical coding and billing procedures.
- Have experience working with dental practice management systems such as Dentrix, Epic, or Eaglesoft.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Have knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Show ability to work effectively in a team environment.
