Description:
We are looking for a result-driven retail Customer Service Associate to handle customer service duties and administrative responsibilities. This includes everything from greeting customers to closing sales, as well as managing bookkeeping and payroll tasks. The ideal candidate will excel at providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions.
To be successful in this role, you should stay up-to-date with product features, maintain high standards for the store’s visual appearance, and demonstrate proficiency in administrative tasks. Ultimately, the duties of our Sales Associate are to achieve excellent customer service, meet sales goals, and ensure accurate administrative support for the business.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions.
- Follow and achieve department sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- “Go the extra mile” to help customers and thereby increase sales.
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas.
- Actively seek out customers in-store.
- Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
- Process purchases.
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service.
- Build productive trust relationships with customers.
- Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g., planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design).
Administrative:
- Perform light bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records.
- Handle payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Representative, or similar role.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proficiency in English.
- Basic math skills.
- Self-starter and reliable.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus.
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Experience with Quickbooks.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or payroll is a plus.
- High school degree.
