Fuel Systems Mechanic
Location: Fort Leonard Wood, MO

Position Summary:
Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) is seeking a Fuel Systems Mechanic to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fuel systems in various types of vehicles, equipment, and machinery. This role involves ensuring that fuel systems are functioning efficiently and safely, following industry standards and manufacturer specifications. The mechanic will troubleshoot fuel-related issues, perform preventative maintenance, and repair or replace faulty components as necessary to maintain optimal performance
**Position is contingent upon award of contract.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Inspect fuel systems, including fuel pumps, injectors, tanks, lines, and filters to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify performance issues
• Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance on fuel system components, including the cleaning and calibration of fuel injectors, pumps, and filters
• Install, replace or upgrade fuel tanks, pumps lines, injectors, and other components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations
• Conduct routine maintenance on fuel systems, including filter replacements, line checks, and fuel quality inspections to prevent system failures
• Test fuel systems after repairs or maintenance to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and safety.
• Address any leaks, pressure issues, or malfunctions
• Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations, including hazardous material handling and fuel system safety protocols
Education & Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Automotive or Diesel Mechanics; or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of fuel systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and schematics
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Familiarity with safety standards including hazardous materials and fuel handling procedures
• Experience with heavy-duty vehicle or industrial machinery fuel systems
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands
• Involves shift work that can include on-call requirements for emergency situations
• Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on the needs of the facility
• Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions
• Work may be required in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Will involve walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time
• May be required to work in confined spaces
• Work may involve lifting and moving of heavy items, up to 50 lbs
• Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment
