Government Furniture & Equipment Coordinator

Position Summary:
Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) is seeking a Government Furniture and Equipment Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing the procurement, distribution, inventory, and maintenance of furniture and equipment for government offices and facilities. Theis position ensures that all furniture and equipment meets the needs of the organization, complies with government regulations, and is properly manages throughout its lifecycyle.
**Position is contingent upon award of contract.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage the process of sourcing and purchasing government furniture and equipment in compliance with budget constraints, policies, and regulations.
• Work with vendors to obtain quotes, evaluate bids, and ensure cost-effective solutions
• Maintain an organized inventory system for all furniture and equipment, tracking the status, location, and condition of items throughout the facility,
• Oversee the delivery, setup, and installation of new furniture and equipment in government offices and buildings
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal department to ensure timely and efficient installation
• Assess departmental needs and allocate furniture and equipment based on office requirements and available resources
• Coordinate routine maintenance, repair and refurbishing of existing furniture and equipment to prolong their lifespan and ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Manage the disposal, recycling, and redistribution of surplus furniture and equipment according to government regulations and environmental sustainability practices
Education & Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A degree in business administration, procurement, facilities management, or related field is preferred
• Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or facilities coordination, preferably in a government or large organizational setting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of government procurement policies, regulations, and procedures
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
• Experience with asset tracking and inventory management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, staff, and internal departments
• Proficient in using office software, such as Microsoft Office and familiarity with specialized procurement or inventory management software
• Ability to problem solve and manage resources effectively to meet operational needs
• Experience in furniture and equipment coordination for government agencies
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands
• Involves shift work that can include on-call requirements for emergency situations
• Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on the needs of the facility
• Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions
• Work may be required in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Will involve walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time
• May be required to work in confined spaces
• Work may involve lifting and moving of heavy items, up to 50 lbs
• Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment
