As a key member of the Human Performance Optimization team, you’ll be a vital resource in enhancing human performance, improving mission effectiveness, and building resiliency among AFSPECWAR operators and aircrew members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Behavioral Health Care Provider: Provide a full spectrum of social work services to enhance resiliency, mission success, and human performance for active-duty personnel.

• Clinical Evaluations: Conduct intake evaluations, psycho-diagnostic assessments, and evidence-based psychotherapy to improve mental health and performance.

• Psychological Consultation & Training: Offer guidance and education to military leaders, medical staff, and other providers to promote overall health and wellness.

• Collaborative Case Management: Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to manage complex cases and ensure appropriate care.

• Human Performance Monitoring: Use validated symptom inventories and provide targeted education on mental health conditions and resiliency techniques.

• Mission Readiness Support: Track and report key metrics related to training, access to care, and overall performance, contributing to unit readiness.

• Acute Care: Provide immediate counseling services within the unit, while referring for more intensive care as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Mandatory Qualifications:

• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in good standing.

• 5 years of experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance abuse treatment.

• Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent (MSSW, MSSA) from an accredited graduate program

• Current CPR and AED certification.

• Must meet DHA-PM recency requirements (within the last 2 years).

U.S. Citizenship Requirement:

• Must be a U.S. citizen (permanent resident status does not qualify).

Security Clearance:

• Must pass a Tier 1 background check (T1) for access to restricted areas and internet systems. This is a mandatory requirement for all personnel.

• Must be proficient in basic computer skills and read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with occasional after-hours flexibility if required).

• No more than 40 hours per week.           

• Must be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, have the physical ability to perform assigned tasks, able to lift twenty (20) pounds.
