Position Summary:

Advancia Government Services (a federal government contractor) seeks an experienced locksmith who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing locks and security systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of lock mechanisms, security solutions, and key systems. 

**Position is contingent upon award of contract.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•    Install, repair, and maintain locks, keys, and security systems for homes, offices, and commercial buildings
•    Cut, rekey, and duplicate keys ensuring proper functionality and security
•    Respond to emergency service calls such as lockouts, broken locks, and key retrieval, providing quick and effective solutions
•    Troubleshoot lock and security issues, providing expert advice and recommendations for repairs or upgrades
•    Insall and maintain high-security locking systems, including access control systems, electronic locs, and safes
•    Keep accurate records of services performed, including parts used and time spent
•    Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
•    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in locksmithing and security technology

Education & Experience Requirements

•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    Three (3) years proven experience as a locksmith
•    Must posses a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:

•    Strong knowledge of various types of locks, including traditional, digital, and high-security systems
•    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
•    Excellent communication and customer service skills
•    Ability to work independently or as part of a team
•    Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work

Other Requirements:

•    Ability to pass background checks and security clearances as required by contract


Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

•    Involves shift work that can include on-call requirements for emergency situations
•    Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required depending on the needs of the facility
•    Work may be performed both indoors or outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions
•    Work may be required in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
•    Requires walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and bending for extended periods of time
•    Work will involve traveling to various locations, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties
•    Work may involve lifting and moving heavy items up to 50 lbs
