At Potawatomi Support Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As an AGE Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance actions and inspections on aerospace ground support equipment at Volk Field Air National Guard Base.
The ideal candidate will have 6 years of experience in the USAF AGE 2A6X2 AFSC, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a government background check. Additionally, you will need to obtain a Universal Refrigerant Handlers Certificate within 6 months and pass an in-house driver's test to operate trucks, tow-vehicles, forklifts, and all-terrain vehicles.
You will be responsible for ensuring all AGE is serviced and ready for operation, performing unscheduled maintenance and quick repairs, and documenting all maintenance actions and inspections according to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-101 and the applicable technical order.
The work environment characteristics are representative of those found in a professional garage, automotive service center or repair shop. The noise level is usually moderate to high.
