Summary
The Accounting Manager will manage a set of accounting activities and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("USGAAP"), corporate and business unit standards and timelines, and external audit requirements. These accounting activities include Corporate / Subsidiary general ledger accounting, consolidated financial reporting including statement of cash flows and payroll; customer invoicing and collections ("AR"); and vendor management and payment ("AP").
The Accounting Manager will report to Vice President of Finance and work closely with others in the organization to provide complete, timely and accurate accounting, financial reporting, and analytical support, and ensure effective operation of internal controls.
Responsibilities :
Support & Customer Service
- Complete or assist with the monthly closing process for Corporate Headquarters and operating subsidiaries as assigned.
- Complete or assist with consolidation of subsidiaries and prepare preliminary consolidated financial statements and statements of cash flows.
- Assist with Executive, Officer and Board reports and presentations as needed.
- Complete or assist with customer invoicing, collections, and cash applications for operating subsidiaries as needed.
- Complete or assist with vendor setup, invoice processing, and payments for operating subsidiaries as needed.
- Manage or assist with intercompany billings and reconciliations.
- Review weekly cash activity and prepare Treasury Analysis report.
- Complete or assist with preparation and review of payroll as needed.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with finance policies.
- Assist with development and implementation of finance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Assist with financial systems design and implementation.
- Prepare census reports for Forest County Potawatomi.
- Manage or assist with 401K audit.
- Complete or assist with preparation of Form 1099s as needed.
- Complete or assists with projects and other tasks, as necessary.

This role usually spends most of their time in an Office with a clean, well-lit, and comfortable environment. However, support of general issues may require assignment between two Milwaukee locations.
