Catering Manager Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Manager to oversee our catering operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and customer service, with the ability to lead a team effectively. This role requires excellent organizational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Catering Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing catering events while ensuring high standards of service and quality.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate catering events from start to finish, including menu selection, staffing, and logistics.
- Supervise catering staff to ensure smooth operations during events.
- Provide training and development for staff to enhance their skills in customer service and food preparation.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies necessary for catering services.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation in accordance with health regulations.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order management and tracking.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
- Assist in cooking or food preparation as needed during events.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during events.
Experience
- Proven experience in a hospitality or catering management role is preferred.
- Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment, particularly in quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Strong background in customer service with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with training development techniques to enhance team performance.
- Ability to manage shifts effectively while maintaining a positive work environment.
