Our Client is seeking a dedicated Owner's Representative MEP Project Engineer with extensive experience managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for data center construction projects. This role will involve representing the owner's interests throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that MEP systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the owner/client regarding MEP systems throughout the project.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements and goals.
- Review and provide input on MEP design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure compliance with owner standards and industry best practices.
- Participate in design meetings to enhance MEP system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
- Manage MEP contractors and subcontractors, including bidding processes, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures for MEP system installation, testing, commissioning, and validation.
- Conduct inspections and oversee testing to verify compliance with design specifications and performance criteria.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of MEP project budgets and schedules.
- Identify potential risks, delays, and deviations from project plans and implement proactive mitigation measures.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders, outlining key milestones, issues, and resolutions related to MEP systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety and adherence to best practices among project team members and subcontractors.
✅ 2 years of experience as an MEP Project Engineer or in a similar role within data center construction or complex facility projects.
✅ Proven track record of successfully managing MEP systems from design through commissioning.
✅ Strong technical knowledge of MEP system design, installation, and operational requirements.
✅ Excellent project management skills, including budget management and schedule adherence.
✅ Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
✅ Professional Engineer (PE) license and LEED accreditation (preferred).

Logistics, Travel Requirements, and Work Status:
- Reside within the location of hire or willing to relocate. This is NOT a remote role. Daily onsite.
- Eligible to work in the US without work restrictions
- On-site presence as required.
- Able to travel across the US, project on a needed basis
- A clean driving record and a valid driver's license are required.
