As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at our private school, you'll join a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of teachers, behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Review client/student records and conduct evaluations for speech and communication disorders, including swallowing difficulties.
- Design and implement individualized Plans of Care and recommend hours of service.
- Develop and execute functional, goal-oriented Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team.
- Lead 1:1 and small group therapy sessions, with a focus on personalized care and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and parents.
- Provide support and expertise on AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems, including evaluations and troubleshooting.
- Write detailed progress reports and maintain client/student records.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and valid Pennsylvania license to practice.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Clinical Fellowship (CF) applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Credentialing through insurance companies is a plus but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, parents, and team members.
- Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Demonstrated perseverance, ethical behavior, and trustworthiness.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
