PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber is seeking candidates for the Maintenance Supervisor position at their Warren, AR Lumber Mill. Successful candidates will supervise, lead, and direct the assigned maintenance functions, fire protection, boiler, and / or plant services activities to meet the needs of various departments and maximize production, minimize costs, ensure quality work, and minimize downtime safely and efficiently. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of plant equipment, organizing and monitoring work processes, and coordination of outside contractors. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary. This position will be on our weekend shift, working Wednesday - Sunday.
The salary range for this position is $73,800.00 - $123,000.00.
This position is bonus eligible, with a target of 10% of salary.
Key Accountabilities :
- Assign tasks / work orders and follow up with crew when necessary to ensure that work is completed on schedule.
- Identify and correct any potential problems (troubleshooting) and take appropriate action necessary to prevent serious equipment failure. Monitor Predictive and Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities and follow up to maximize machine efficiency and availability.
- Plan effective use of available resources and assist in the development of process, design and operational improvements.
- Identify possible cost savings in all areas of operation.
- Assist operations to achieve budgeted production rates.
- Coordinate activities of outside contractors in compliance with the site's contractor program.
- Maintain a safe facility and a work climate conducive to safe working practices. Stress lock-out tag-out with each employee.
- Provide information and training on OSHA rules and regulations and additional site procedures ensuring that all safety methods are in place, fully implemented, and training documented to guarantee a safe, clean and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.
- Provide information and training for crew on all equipment and processes in area of responsibility.
- Assess the needs of the crew and implement developmental processes (e.g., coaching, counseling, taking corrective action, mentoring, etc.) to continuously improve their performance.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge / expertise.
- Provide an atmosphere that leads to continual improvement in safety, quality and productivity.
- Stress importance of Customer Service for both maintenance, the boiler and plant services (if applicable).
