SORTER TENDER - WARREN, AR

PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber is currently seeking candidates for the Sorter Tender position. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring the sorter machine center. This position also manages cross ups, locks out equipment for various reasons, completes weekly PM’s of the machine center, and ensures the area is clean and free of debris. Successful candidates must be safety-minded and willing to promote and participate in safety on the job.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $20.63.

Working Conditions:

• Extreme heat/cold (weather and non-weather related)

• Exposure to high noise levels requiring ear production (manufacturing plant, outdoor heavy equipment)

• Working near moving machinery

• Fumes or airborne debris

• Whole-body vibration (vibration through the seat or under the feet)

Essential Physical Functions:

• Sitting

• Standing

• Walking on concrete and uneven surfaces

• Kneeling

• Squatting

• Bending

• Climbing

• Ability to communicate clearly

• Lift 50 lbs.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to work any shift (Days, Nights, Graveyard or Weekends)

• Prior lumber mill experiences preferred.

• Prior forklift/machine operations training preferred.

• Able to work well in a team environment.

• Self-motivated, hard worker

• Must be a safety-oriented individual.

• NCRC Certification preferred.
