PotlatchDeltic is seeking qualified applicants to join our team and fill a Systems Administrator II position onsite at the Gwinn Lumber Mill. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and/or maintaining workstations, servers, network equipment, and operating systems for supported locations. Schedules, coordinates, and performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and maintains telecommunications systems. Trains and supports end users and staff on various business systems and infrastructure hardware. Recommends and implements software and hardware enhancements.
The salary range for this position is $73,800.00 - $123,000.00.
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
This position is bonus eligible with a target value of 10% of salary
End User Support:
- Set up and install computers and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot application and hardware issues
- Perform software and hardware installation and configuration
- Provide end user and staff training as needed
Software Support:
- Provide support for business applications
- Install, configure, and/or maintain operating systems and applications
- Design and participate in application testing
- Assists in the installation and design of application monitoring software
Infrastructure Support:
- Perform user account maintenance and operational tasks
- Provide support for infrastructure, including: servers, telephony, and network hardware
- Administer and/or maintain infrastructure for supported locations
- Create and maintain documentation for complex systems and processes
- Assist with the installation and design of network monitoring software
- Assist the business with setup and installation of technology related manufacturing equipment (PLC)
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Make recommendations for process improvements
- Provide suggestions, comments and background information on alternative hardware and software solutions
- Participate in business continuity planning and exercises
- Respond to user requests for assistance
- Assist with the support of the incident tracking system
- Provide after-hours support in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
Compliance:
- Monitor and perform compliance and legal controls
- Enforce computer security and compliance according to company policies and procedures
- Contribute to the enhancement of policies, compliance and legal controls
- Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of systems and business continuity routines
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or related field, and/or three (3) years of directly relevant work experience or training
- Ability to interact with a diverse user base in a competent and professional manner required
- Performs most tasks and projects independently (without close supervision or guidance)
- Performs project management duties on some key initiatives
- Proficient in most of the Key Accountabilities
- Project and time management skills required
- Presentation and training skills required
- Provide after-hours support in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
