Description
The Mental Health Therapist reports to the Clinical Director or Designee and functions independently to provide mental health therapy services for adults and children within the corresponding location marked above and within each one’s own license, abilities, and scope of practice. Responsibilities include establishing rapport with clients, providing clinically based therapy, maintaining productivity standards for full time status, diagnosing and treating clients ethically and appropriately, and referring clients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary. The Mental Health Therapist will attend all required meetings as scheduled and maintain collaborative and collegial working relations with all PCS staff, other community mental health providers, and clients. The Mental Health Therapist will carry out responsibilities in accordance with PCS policies and standards of practice and ensures compliance case management functions are performed in accordance with all state and federal regulations, while maintaining a high standard of professional conduct and ethics.

Salary: Depends on experience/education/license ($56,736.00 - $78,525.00) / can be flexible
Requirements
- Minimum of master’s degree in mental health related field, required
- Minimum of Mental Health Professional license or ability to become licensed by the State of Maryland (if coming from another state) to practice in the profession of social work, professional counseling, or psychology (LCPC, LCMFT, LCSW, or LCSW-C). Those with LMSW or LGPC, preferably with co-occurring experience, will require additional supervision.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with individuals who have behavioral/mental health diagnoses
- In good standing with the State of Maryland licensing board related to profession
- Knowledgeable regarding community resources related to mental health and case management
- Valid driver's license, dependable transportation and vehicle insurance.
Salary : $56,736 - $78,525
