Responsibilities
In this role, the Senior Contracting Administrator will lead and manage complex contracting activities in support of the Department of the Air Force. You will oversee the full lifecycle of contract administration from inception through closeout, ensuring strict compliance with federal acquisition regulations and Air Force policies.
The position involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual documents, (PWS, Market Research, etc.) modifications, and amendments, as well as providing expert guidance on acquisition strategies and risk management. Additionally, you will ensure quality assurance by monitoring contract performance and conducting regular audits and reviews. This role also requires providing leadership and mentoring to junior contracting personnel while acting as the primary liaison with the Department of the Air Force to maintain clear and effective communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certifications:
- Must hold FAI Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Certification at Senior Level.
- Experience:
- Highly Desirable: Demonstrated experience as a 1102 Job Series, Contracting Officer with an active Warrant, Contracting Specialist, or Contracting Officer Representative.
- Extensive background as a Contract Specialist with proven success in complex contract negotiations.
Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations, contracting procedures, and relevant policies.
