We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager II to oversee moderately complex projects involving switchgear and electrical components. This role requires a strong understanding of project planning, coordination, execution, and stakeholder communication. The PM2 will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Manage mid-sized projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee the assembly, testing, and installation of low- and medium-voltage switchgear and related electrical components.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders during project execution.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks to maintain efficiency and compliance.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Perform estimating tasks and input information into the quoting system.
- Maintain detailed project reports, risk logs, and documentation to track progress.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with customers, contractors, and engineers to resolve challenges and drive project success.
- Foster a team-oriented environment that promotes accountability and performance.
- Communicate project updates effectively to all stakeholders.
- 2-4 years of experience in project management or coordination.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of NEC standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Experience in project estimating, quoting, and takeoff processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams on technical projects.
- Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or equivalent are a plus.
- Ability to work in both office and field settings.
- Lift, carry, and/or move up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
- Climb ladders, staircases, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
- Work in varied weather conditions, including extreme heat/cold.
