QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent and skills for the successful performance of the tasks assigned.
REPORTS TO:
Designated Principal
JOB GOAL:
To accurately maintain and manage all student records, ensuring the integrity of academic information by registering students, tracking student progress, and facilitating the accurate reporting of student data while adhering to school and state regulations to assure the smooth, efficient operation of the school office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as receptionist in answering the telephone and greeting visitors.
- Custodian of records for students at the high school
- Process new enrollments, withdrawals, etc... and communicate transfers with appropriate staff members
- Prepare, receive, send, and store transcripts
- Clerical duties for A program
- Process and proofread correspondence.
- Organize and maintain a filing system.
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of educational reports and research documents.
- Operate office machinery.
- Perform necessary functions unique to the particular secretarial position for which employed, plus some of which are listed as the following:(a) process mail; (b) coordinate communications, messages and memos between parent and child, and school and home; (c) prepare purchase orders for their building.
- Other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Board of Education or the Superintendent of Schools.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve months, with salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.

Evaluation of this job will be in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
