Summary of the Position
The Quality Engineer - Electronics is responsible for and improving processes and systems to enhance quality of electronic assemblies and hardware. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining high product quality throughout the manufacturing and design processes.
Essential Functions

- Provide technical support and problem-solving skills for the Quality department and manufacturing operation to meet quality objectives.
- Oversee the hands-on electronics troubleshooting process, suggesting and implementing improvements.
- Investigate electronics quality problems to determine causes and to recommend corrective actions.
- Write work instructions for new quality processes.
- Train supervisors and operators to electronics quality standards.
- Initiate continuous improvement activities.
- Provide technical support as needed.
- Acts as a liaison between Quality, Manufacturing, Maintenance, R&D, and Purchasing departments.
- Review ECO’s to maintain quality and implement any training that might be needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Travel
This job operates in a professional business office or home office where standard office equipment is routinely used, such as computers, photocopy machines, fax machines, telephones and filing cabinets. In addition, this job also operates in a warehouse/manufacturing setting where various tools and equipment are used. This role must be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel and exhibit good visual acuity to perform daily tasks.
This position must be able to lift 20 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience.
- Willingness to be hands-on within the manufacturing floor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a medium volume manufacturing environment.
- Working experience using schematic capture and PCB design software (Ex: Altium).
- Working knowledge of analog/digital circuit principles and embedded microprocessor controls.
- Working knowledge of power supply principles and circuits.
This is a full-time position, on-site at the manufacturing facility. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. An occasional shift in hours may be necessary to accommodate business needs.
