Job Description
The Production Technician I performs tasks to ensure the packaging requirements of the finished product lines are met in accordance with the plant production schedule and other established operating parameters / performance measures. Also performs additional duty assignments as required / tasked.
Shift Availability
- Monday – Friday 7AM -4PM
- Rotating shift (Example : 7AM-7PM)
- Shift typically ranges 8-12 hours, depending on the plant volume.

Operates all processes in a safe manner and with HSE rules and regulationsSets up, prepares and monitors machines / equipment used for packaging.Operates equipment such Robot / Palletizer, heat sealer, sifters and other equipment required to perform dutiesCompletes all Production Technician duties to fulfill production needsPerforms Bagging up 50-pound bags of productPerforms Bulk Sack FillingPerforms Pail and Drum FillingStacking of Bags and Pails 50#Re-work (cut bags, boxes, s / s and re-work into process, re-stack as neededHelp with Discard DustSafely operates sweepers, forklifts, scales and banderPulls WIP as neededClose up (band and heat seal and final QC Inspection (packaging)Maintain Packaging Supply Room with good housekeeping dutiesCommunication and coordination with Quality Control (e.g. labeling, Lot numbers, product codes, spec compliance, etc.)Required daily documentation and inspectionsSet up to packaging printers, robot programs, etc.Loads and Unloads TrucksParticipates in HSE activitiesAdditional duties assigned by Manager, as needed.Qualifications
Education :
High School Diploma / GEDPost High School Technical School or College a PlusExperience :
1 to 3 years of Manufacturing Environment Experience preferred1 to 3 Years Forklift operations and / or certificationSkills / Knowledge : Skills & Knowledge
Have knowledge of and ability to use computers for tasks such as email and data entryMust have strong work ethicsAble to work and contribute in a Team EnvironmentAbility to follow both verbal and written instructionsWorking Environment & Physical Demands
